The Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi appeared on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace Yesterday. She represented herself and the Democratic Party very well. When Mr. Wallace went into his catch 22 questioning session she was very well prepared and came off as a truly genuine leader. He tried his “Why is the public so down on congress and why has not the Democratic Party passed much legislation speil”. A tactic that did not work with President Clinton or Senator Hillary Clinton. Mrs. Pelosi then went on to tout the accomplishments of Congress and explained in very clear terms that if not for the lack of enough senators to end filibusters, legislation to end the war would have already passed. She then went on to explain how having a Democratic president to sign proposed legislation could have moved this country forward and the war would already be wound down to a manageable and controlled venture. Although I sometimes disagree with her on certain issues like the Mr. Murtha and Mr. Obey Tax push, I’ve come to respect her as a very strong significant and knowledgeable leader.

It is incumbent upon all Democrats to view this as a new way to challenge our foes. Facing them down will give opportunity for those faithful who follow venues like Fox News to finally hear the unvarnished truth. For to long we have been sitting back and allowing the pundits and commentators (so called journalist) to present to the public the view of what it means to be a Democrat or Liberal. Along comes the new tactic of presenting Progressives as Liberal Democrats afraid to stand up for what they truly believe. The time is now right for the truth to outweigh fiction and the way republicans wish things to be politics. I’m not suggesting that we have a Democratic Presidential Debate on Fox. I am suggesting that as many smart articulate knowledgeable Democrats as possibly can start to frequent hostile shows as much as possible to get the truth out to all Americans. People who live in the so called red states are not so numb and blinded to the truth that they would not be able to distinguish the difference of which it’s the pundits or politicians that’s lying, misrepresenting, or engaged in deceptive spin. The more the truth is presented the more likely people will come to accept it.  The facial expressions of the pundits trying to trip up a politician will show to all observers the reality of whose spinning and who’s being truthful. Have no fear Democrats of going into any venue to speak the truth, because the truth of a matter shows calmness while spinning or dodging shows frustration.
