Why is it so hard for people to realize the parallel of the George Bush Barack Obama City Slick Political campaigning?  The last 2 presidential elections and the last 4 congressional elections have seen the republicans use consultant tested catch phrases to trick people into reelecting them to the presidency and majority in congress, to the detriment of our country. I’m a 49 yr old black man born and raised in a small town in North Carolina. I remember what it was to see politicians come through the counties and use what was always said to be city slick talk to win over the votes of the hopeful. It makes you feel as though they really have your best interest at heart when it’s really a method of self preservation. That’s the reason I do not like what happening with Barack Obama. He is running to make history as the first elected black president not as the person best suited to lead and put together the best possible administration to tackle the problems of America which get worse each and everyday.

Senator Obama professes to need a new youth movement and generation of new participants in political election to exact the change we so desperately need in America. This is a message completely void of reality. Parents are responsible for the welfare of their children for a reason. To use tags or catch phrases to energize a youthful mind is not a task of courage and conviction. The status quo he and John Edwards are misleading America into believing that with their support can be defeated is a myth. The Chair Persons of all the committees for which they will need to get any legislative or spending policy for this country are chosen in Congress by seniority. So are we to believe that the bills that a democratic led congress sends to their desk would be vetoed. Which of the Chair Persons in the Senate and the House would they be able to work with when their hold campaign strategy has been out with the old and in with the new? Mr. Obama wants affordable Healthcare, so does that mean that when congress presents him with a Single Payer or Universal Healthcare plan that he would veto or sign it.

Words matter to inspire people as he said, but action is needed now not inspiration. Hillary Clinton has been speaking to all issues and is very aware of the correlation of certain policy as it pertains to these issues. The media and outside influence should not dictate to any party which candidate should be their leader. I know and most well thinking people realize the mixed coalition that gave Mr. Obama the victory in Iowa and is projected to give him a victory in New Hampshire will not be there in the general election. This same strategy was used to send Joe Lieberman Back to the Senate in Connecticut to the detriment of the Democratic Congress. The Bashing of the Clintons is being used to destroy the opportunity to regain control of this country’s problems within the next 3 years. The message of getting rid of the Clintons helped George Bush to defeat Al Gore. Mr. Clinton left the Oval office with this country in much better shape than he inherited in. Which is what we need to move forward someone hell bent on the betterment of the life of others Like the Clintons, not the preservation a historic event like Barack Obama.
